Q: I got an error message: "Unable to Initialize DPOAE Settings". What do I do?
A: The PC-card drivers are not installed properly. You have either installed an "Application Only" version of the software, or you inserted the card prior to the software installation. Use your Software CD to maintain your current installation and install/reinstall the drivers.
Q: How often do I need to run the In-The-Ear calibration?
A: You need to run the In-The-Ear calibration each time you insert the eartip into the ear or adjust the eartip fit.
Q: How do I export DPOAE data for use in Matlab?
A: The easiest way to use DPOAE data with Matlab is to not export the data, but rather to use the Database toolbox in Matlab to directly query the HearID database, as all DP data is stored in the database (unlike TEOAEs and MEPA that generate external files). The DPOAE data are in the "TestData" table. Otherwise, see section 2.6.5 of the DP Manual on Exporting Data, and Appendix B for full details of the data.
Q: How do I extract DPOAE phase information?
A: From HearID R3.3 onwards, DPOAE phase information is saved to the HearID database. Full details are given in Appendix C of the DP Manual.
