Q: Are there trouble-shooting tips for the MEPA calibration?
A: In HearID 5, onscreen tips are shown if the calibration is rejected. In general, try refitting the probe into the cavity set, quietening the environment, then choosing redo calibration. If calibration still fails, work through the trouble-shooting suggestions in the MEPA manual. We also recommend you view our multimedia tutorials.
Q: Do I need to calibrate my probe each time I change eartip type?
A: You need to ensure you have a valid calibration for the current eartip type. HearID shows a countdown timer for how long the current calibration remains valid. There is a separate countdown for rubber and foam tips.
Q: I am running the HearID system with the HearID PC-card and the MEPA and/or TE modules, and I am getting an "HID-board error" that reads "Av-error:Buffer size mismatch". What should I do?
A: Using the installation CD, choose the update feature to repair your drivers.
